I am the oldest of two siblings and a first-generation college graduate from an immigrant family. I am also a proud single mother to my beautiful daughter who has been one of my biggest motivations throughout my journey. My passion for working with children began in 2018 when I started working as an aide and in after-school programs. Although I had always wanted to return to school life brought new transitions and responsibilities, including becoming a mother in 2020. Once I found my rhythm again I returned to school and pursued my Master’s in Social Work. My motivation to pursue social work grew from my experience working at a nonprofit agency as an Administrative Specialist where I had the opportunity to work closely with social workers and clinicians and see firsthand the impact they had on individuals and families. My journey has taught me the importance of perseverance, compassion, and meeting people where they are, and I am grateful to now be able to support others through their own life journeys.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, writing in my journal, and going on walks with my family. One of my favorite places to visit is Howarth Park, where I enjoy spending time outdoors and making memories with them. I also love finding little ways to practice self-care and recharge and journaling is one of my favorite coping skills. Most importantly I love spending quality time with my daughter. One of our favorite things to do together is go out for ice cream we both have a sweet tooth, so it has become one of our favorite little traditions!
