I’m Kyle Wayne, AMFT and APCC, with a background in History and creative professional work, and a life shaped perhaps more by personal experience, alongside quite a bit of formal training. My own therapeutic journey has been a pivotal experience and a vessel of change in my life, shaping not only how I see the world but how I show up for others. I’ve learned from my own challenges, from the stories of others, and from friends and family who have long leaned on me for support. Those closest to me have often wondered if I might make a career of being a therapist, calling me a natural listener, a saunterer, a philosopher, an old soul, and compassionate, qualities that guide my work today.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading, writing, working on hands‑on projects, playing piano, and spending time with the people and pets who matter most to me.

Therapy isn’t just another conversation with a trusted friend.

It can be an experience of opening to yourself in ways you’ve never been able to before, an opening that deepens your understanding of how you make meaning and what you might choose to do with that power.

When you sit with me, my hope is that you feel held in a way that allows you to speak freely without censorship. I will never claim to be the expert on your life or tell you how to live it. Instead, I come as a fellow traveler, someone who notices what I notice, creates pauses, holds up a mirror, and offers the steadiness of my own nervous system.

I’m interested in how we make meaning amidst the suffering of our current age and fascinated by the complexity of hidden desire. I see therapy as a container for opening more honestly to yourself, enough to see from an angle you’ve never seen before. From there, change may emerge, or you may discover a new relationship with the very things that bring suffering and desire into your life.

The work deepens when the unconscious begins to speak, and our time together feels like a genuine collaboration, an exploration on your behalf. Relief may come, or a sharper awareness of your own suffering. Both can be signs that something true is taking shape.

  • Consisted of large-group exercises developed from an integrative approach, drawing primarily from Gestalt, Jung, CBT, post-modern modalities, and more.

My work is influenced by several approaches, including existential therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychoanalytic perspectives, and somatic awareness. I tailor these to each person, drawing from them in ways that feel most useful for where you are and what you hope to explore.
