About Me

I have always been drawn to helping others—a value shaped by my upbringing in a large, collaborative family and close-knit community. I was born and raised in Los Angeles and grew up in a multigenerational bilingual home, surrounded by cousins, aunts, and uncles who lived nearby. During school vacations, I frequently traveled to Mexico, where I was able to immerse myself in the language, music, and culture. These experiences continue to influence who I am and how I show up as a therapist today.

The strong women in my family—taught me to stay grounded in empathy, collaboration, and perseverance, even when facing challenges that felt insurmountable. My father instilled in me a deep respect for connection and a belief that community extends far beyond shared language or appearance.

I attended Santa Rosa Junior College, Sonoma State University, and the University of San Francisco, where I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I have called Sonoma County home for almost 30 years. Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than two decades working in the social services field, supporting individuals and families through a variety of life transitions and challenges. During my time as a parent educator I was asked to appear on film for Triple P America where I appeared as an actor in their parenting training videos.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, self-awareness, and respect for each person’s unique story. I strive to provide a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, foster growth, and create meaningful change in their lives.
