Our Interns & Trainees

Hi, hello & howdy! I’m Meggan, a first year MSW Intern attending San Jose State University. I have spent almost a decade working within the mental health field between nonprofits and local government. My primary focus and experience has been working with transition aged youth and current or former foster youth within temporary or permanent supportive housing programs.

I strive to meet my clients where they are at by creating safe spaces for connection and collaborating with them to achieve their goals. I enjoy engaging with clients out in nature as much as possible to enable grounding to the body and earth.

Outside of my professional and academic life I play recreational softball and soccer, attend as many concerts as I can, and plan adventures with my family and friends. Most recently life has been filled with wonderful chaos welcoming 3 kittens into our home. I am excited to be continuing my academic and professional journey of obtaining my Masters in Social Work while working with an organization dedicated to meeting our communities diverse needs.
