Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee
Under The Supervision of Jason Corey Newman, Licensed and Marriage and Family Therapist # 100091
I graduated from Sonoma State with a bachelor's degree in Women’s and Gender Studies and Queer Studies. Currently I am enrolled in the University of San Francisco’s Marriage and Family Therapy Master’s program and have begun my journey into practicum.
My journey into providing mental healthcare lies secure in my core belief that everyone deserves to be seen in their authentic selves. A cornerstone of myself in this world, and as a clinician, is my identity as a neurodivergent, queer, and trans-nonbinary person. Being seen in authenticity and being witnessed in pure unbridled joy is a right of human connection that every person is entitled to. I lead my practice as a clinician in the same way, truly working with a client to authentically see them, not just in their pain but also in their joy.
I am a deeply creative person and believe in the power of art to express, feel, and decompress. Outside of the therapy room, I am often found hunched over my kitchen table working on creating realistic dollhouse miniature foods and baskets as a way to express myself and make the world feel a little smaller!
